It doesn't do to get it right. It encourages them.

Re: Catalan referendum
Whether you are for independence or not, this is the real boot of establishment aggression.

The Catalans have their language and their identity but have had enough of being strong-armed into underwriting the Spanish state, which is now sending the riot police in to beat people up in the streets. Anyone who drives in Spain and pays tolls only in Catalunya appreciates how and why Madrid is hated there.

This can be resolved but only with an entirely new fiscal relationship between Catalunya and Castile.

The Premier league should invite Barcelona to leave the Spanish league and come and play here.

I wonder whether the CLUNGE will be pro Catalan as it's anti EU or whether pro Spain as it's good to see foreigners get beat up? 🤔🤔🤔🤔

Re: Catalan referendum
I do not believe in all this want to separate from already very well established nations I do not think any Spaniard gets anything more than any Catalan. Spain is Spain for me and there is no reason apart from financial gain and having power to want separation .
Saying that I think Spain is going overboard today, I would let them do it and simply not accept it.

Re: Catalan referendum
I dont care either way, but Ironically the actions of the Spanish authorities here have probably done more to help that hinder the cause of Catalan separatism. Some pretty disgusting scenes from what I've just watched.

The OTT reaction from the Spanish police is similar to the German police at the G20 in Hamburg this year.
Heavy handed.

All I'm seeing is the strong remainers whooping in support of Catalonia. It leads me to believe they don't understand the issue and just want to virtue signal.

Independence is good in this case but it is not good in this case .....because the liberal media told me so

Re: Catalan referendum
Do the Catalans know precisely what sort of independence they want?

Re: Catalan referendum
Spanish police have been filmed apparently attacking Catalan firefighters who had formed a human shield around people trying to vote in the region's independence referendum.

Kick the shit out if the pigs

I think an independent state of Catalunya is a silly idea fwiw.

Barcelona wanted to postpone their game v Las Palmas going on now.
Were told they would be penalised 6 Pts if they did.
Being played behind closed doors ..... 0-0 at h/t with Jonathan Calleri playing for Las Palmas, Barca have just taken the lead
